Just church gigs for the past two years. The band I play guitar in was set to have our first gig end of March 2020. You know the rest. Tough for an unestablished band to get gigs in a very competitive gig market.

Same bar, different kit?
Yep was suppose to play in Bettendorf but had to cancel do to our trailer axle so all our stuff stayed at the bar. They offered for us to play again Saturday seeing how we couldn’t make it to Bettendorf so i switched out kits. I live two block away from the bar we were at.

Not gigging, but am heading to Charleston, SC, with pianist in tow, to jam with a nonagenarian pianist who was once a name in Daytona Beach. I performed with the pianist that I am bringing up there for eight years, so jamming with her and the other one is something we try to do every month. Here is a clip from one of the late-2021 jams:

Over the holidays I got connected with a local Irish band that had some members turnover. Tonight will be my first gig with them. We're playing a cider brewpub in "small" format, which means I'll bring my bodhran and some percussion toys, instead of drum set that we'll use on larger gigs. This will also be my first time actually gigging with the bodhran, which I've been messing around with for a number of years. Should be fun. I hope the cider is good.

We had a great time Friday night, and yes, the cider was good! ;)

Just had my Saturday gig cancelled.
Complete relief as the gig was in Hot Springs Arkansas and I was looking at a 10-hour drive each way, through the band of ice and snow that’s moving in now.
Still waiting to see if Tonight’s gig here at a local theater is still on. We have a forecast for icy roads overnight but could get the show in prior to the freeze. However I fear the locals who typically fill the venue of 250 seats will stay home because of the weather threat. I wouldn’t blame them.

How did your show go my good man ,, Stage looks beautiful set up ,, Did they show up in the ice and even if they didn’t did you have a great time!
Thanks My friend.
Show went really well.
The weather kept the crowd down to about 40 people, but we played well and everyone lined up after the gig to get the artists (that I play for) autograph and buy his merch. A fantastic way to spend an icy Thursday evening. Thanks so much for asking.

Alright folks, it's been a while since I've posted. Been lurking mostly, but now I have something to post! This was our band's first real gig at a club, and as such we were the opening act for 4 other bands that night. What a learning experience! Had a great time, played really well - but not perfect. My Stage Customs stayed on the stage the whole night, and got compliments from other drummers on how good it sounded (probably just being nice). Anyways, here's a couple pics - can't wait to do it again!
