Gig Sat nite under the stars shaping up to be a great turnout. Biggest problem most of the venues here are short staffed nobody wants to get off the Govt. bosom.

Playing on Sunday at my local winery. Should be a packed outdoor audience.

Another gig. I remembered to take a pic. Gotta love outdoor shows minus the moisture.

Giving a little neighbourhood concert this Tuesday, and getting the band back together for the first time since a few scattered outdoor jams last summer. Excited to play again, and to put my new(ish) Gretsch Brooklyn kit to the test.

Played yesterday (Saturday) with two good friends (one of whose parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary party) ; ....took my mid 60's Ludwig Black Oyster "working set"...22/13/16 with Rogers Swivo mounts ; snare is a 10 lug 1990's? Ludwig black/white badge chrome snare ; hardware are mid 70's Ludwig Atlas swivel foot cymbal stands and 60's Ludwig flat base hi hat stand; cymbals are 19" Ludwig Thin Crash and 18"Zildjian Avedis crash plus 1960's Zildjian 14" hi hat cymbals ; extra hardware included RhythmTech tambourine and LP Black Beauty.
Everything melded so well together especially the cymbals..especially the Avedis Crash and the Thin Crash
Sorry, I don't have a photo of the gig but here is a photo of the exact configuration of my drum kit at home as I had it set up at the gig to give you an idea of the hardware
Played a variety of country and rock including Steppenwolf, Fludd,Simon and Garfunkel, Crowded House, Bob Seger, Beatles,Roy Orbison, Gordon Lightfoot,CCR, Tragically Hip, Billy Joel, Johnny Horton, BlackHawk, Neil Young, etc etc
It felt good to get out and use the drums and we had a lot of fun
It wasn't a paying gig but a labour of love for the friend's parents which I was happy to be part of.....
