Just wondering if anyone owns an Hollywood Meazzi kit and if you could share a picture. Do you play it regularly? How do you like it?

Yes, I am aware of their history to some extent and the ones available for sale on the market. Just asking who owns one here and how do they like it.

I love the wrap and the badge is very cool to, but that tom mount has to be the simplest, strangest thing I’ve ever seen! I find myself looking at it as one would a piece of modern art, part admiration and part “what the blank is that about?”

I thought the same thing, like a 45 degree angle gas pipe.

I'm not sure I don't like it also if that makes sense.

I know, if I am not mistaken, this model was one of their lower level kits.
The one Roach is playing is playing if top of the line called President.

I just have a Hollywood snare. Would love a full kit though!

That’s a real beauty, and that Art Deco badge is really cool and so all American, which is odd for a made in Italy product...

Meazzi are one the most amazing drums I have encountered so far. Tons of features that other companies only matched up with years later. They sound great, but a lot of these parts are fragile. A common problem is the replacement of the iron cast hoop claws. In itself a great feature, but since there more than fifty years old it's really hard to get replacement parts. But their hi hat is probable on the the best hi hat pedals ever built.
Not to mention the timpani style floor tom.
Meazzi is basically like an old Italian sports car: beautiful, great for a ride, but you'll need a lot of cash to entertain it.
here are a few photos of stuff I did own for a while:

True, to me it looks like Cadillac made these kits in the 60’s LOL
but maybe that’s why it is called Hollywood haha

The downside is that this hollywood kits can’t be gigged, gotta be a queen at home.
parts are hard to find.

Well, most classic Italian sports cars only have about 20,000 miles on them and sit in their garage’s looking pretty most of the time. So yeah, it’s an Italian thing! :icon_lol:
