anyone use a Tama MXA53 x hat attachment?

What is the rod size for it? It looks thicker than a normal hh pull rod. It has a knurled texture to it and I'd like to know the diameter on it.

Can’t help you on this one but I use the MXA73. That one has a normal sized rod.

That is certainly another option for me to look at as well but it costs $20 more. I'll probably just go the with Gibraltar attachment if that ends up being the route I go.

I have one. The rod is just a fraction under 3/8” thick, and just under 6” from the end of the rod to the top of the bottom cup seat. The knurled portion is only for the first 2” or so (slightly less).

Thanks, that probably puts it at 9mm diameter where a normal cymbals stand should be 8mm. I'm getting a PDAX904 cymbal stacker that has a locking screw on it. It should be able to tighten down on a normal hi hat rod but that size may be too big for it. Unfortunately they have no specs how large of a hole it can handle.
