Anyone using Zoom for teaching out of their home?

The place I teach through is trying to set up home lessons for our students. We're testing Zoom, which is free and works ok, but there's serious sound clipping (not just drums; all istruments) as well as some lag time on the video. Mostly the issue is clipping.
Any suggestions? Another program or settings help?

I am using Zoom to communicate with my producer in California. We had a great session yesterday where he was helping me with some guitar tracks I had recorded earlier in the day. The split screen feature is awesome as he can see my Logic Pro X project and exactly what I am doing.

I’ve been using Google Meet/Hangout and it’s great. Works well on the phone too.
