no it'd be "aged"
(+/-) 1900-1969 is vintage (+/-) before that "primitive" (+/-)
Unless you deem vintage by how old (numerically) something is
rather than by "an era"...

Those drums were built in the "modern" age. era/category/wise.
Almost "post-modern" (remarkable they are) and worthy of special-mention.
Unless you deem vintage by how old (numerically) something is.

it's a 16x18 (by the looks of it) bass drum and it has a Hole in it. Does that help?
and it's over $2000 and it has a Riser included. Seal the deal?

Very cool. Already 2 offers. Not sure why it's listed as "new" though.

Wow. Beautiful and those are going to sound very warm and "woody"

FWIW, last set of Ayotte's I played sounded very much like 3-ply Ludwigs. Warm & full with a light punch.
Those should be winners.

Thing is, I think Ayottes sound the least interesting when they're tuned up for bebop. They still sound great, but they don't sound as distinctive.

I'd love to have a wood hooped kit for doing rock/pop/studio stuff. Rotarded seems to have a perfect kit in his sig-- 10/12/14/16/20 wood hoops? Yes, please.

They are sublime drums and not so common in those sizes. I'd buy if I could.

So far, all the Ayotte bop kits I've seen had a 16" deep bass drum. No idea why. Not only does the (what appears to be original branded) reso head have a hole, but it appears to be cut by hand . Oh well, I'd put a Remo Fiberskyn on there and be happy!

Alas, all rhetoric as the kit has sold.
