Here are some - very - basic Jazz Swing Patterns.

This will not make you an advanced Jazz Swing player overnight. If you Really want to learn this, get John Riley's Art of Bop Drumming and get to work. For a long time. :)

But, if you always wanted to get a Taste of this without a super deep dive, maybe this would be some fun for you.

I have attached 10 very basic patterns along with MP3s.

For some bonus fun, purchase some play alongs from LearnJazzStandards.com - in full versions and minus drums. Here are some suggestions for a few different tempos from slow to fast:

- Freddie Freeloader
- Billie's Bounce
- Mr. PC

If a few people chime in that they had fun with this, I'll update it in a few weeks with 10 very basic fills.

Hey, thanks for this... Im trying to build some jazz chops and this is a great start to learn some easy variations on the swing pattern. I need something to get my right foot into the swing of things, mixing up the bass placement in these patterns is just the thing. Appreciate it!
