very good explanation...overly explained as really more about the feel than anything with shuffles....but good to have it laid out that way. Best way I know to get the shuffle going on the right hand is play triplets RlRRlRRlRRlRRl etc. then start ghosting the left and then leave it out and you have a nice tight shuffle. That's a very over simplified way but I've gotten a few drummers going that said they couldn't shuffle by doing just that. I don't know the guy in the video will check out more of his stuff though....thanks for posting

This technique has immediately allowed my up beats to have a nice and easily clear and controlled accent.
I had been clapping on one and three so to speak. This way I can go totally anywhere between metronome straight 1/8's and metronome dotted 1/8's just by feel and Lock with what the song needs.
I know it is super basic stuff but that is my level at this point.
Thanks for that triplet sticking will try it out once I get @Trick Roll 's 6 stroke lick down.
