Doesn't matter for what music genre or size, probably best all around Zildjian ride to cover all bases? I know this has been discussed before, but if anybody feels like weighing in, feel free.
It's difficult to say "best" but I really enjoyed an A. Zildjian 24" medium ride I had back in the early 80's. My first choice back then was a Paiste 2002 24"ride but back then they were a special order and way beyond my cymbal budget.

Depends what the playing. It's not a Zildjian but I've come back to an old 80's Sabian AA 20" medium because it seems to do everything good enough.

The one I come back to more often than most, is a thin 22” Trans Stamp. It’s, maybe, 2400 g’s - and most of that near the (rather small) bell. Very wobbly. Balanced and open. Shimmery.

It’d be on the stand a lot more, but it sounds just a bit too ... pretty. A very “feminine” cymbal.
