Got this weird ass rig up and running recently. A bunch of the Agop Xist Dry Dark stuff. Look like ancient war shields or like they have leprosy. They sound pretty good. More of an esoteric, experimental vibe to them. Not everyday’ers, but kinda fun.

But hold on a second Ward, you've already shown this pic! Ahh, close but not THIS picture... Same studio, same INDe set (12, 14 & 20) with the same Star hammered copper snare, but notice the ride...it is my new (well, previously loved) 22” Antique Series weighing in at 2260 grams. I am pretty happy with the balance and overall blend of the rig now, I think I can call my Bosphorus experiment a success... and complete!

That's your 12×14 there #The Whale
I wound up finding a use for it and really like the size.
50's A 20", Amazon deals thread Bosphorus 15" and Armand 14"s.
Really kinda diggin the poplar and steel drum setup. Cheapo drums are thin and responsive if not as loud. Best setup so far with the rock & roll trio.

OK, this was a fun weekend... Three dates in three days on three different kits, snares and cymbal rigs! I will post the birds eye view shots here and the front office view in the general office thread! This was almost like the "old" days of 2019!

Saturday... Covered a night for a local popular 60's-80's act and had a blast! The perfect rig for the night, Istanbul Mehmet Nostalgia series all around!

Sunday... my normal church gig (well, 3 weeks a months anyway) and I always bring my amazingly balanced Sabian HH set ( Vanguard, Remastered and Crescent)

Monday, a live recording with my 3 piece jam band... for this gig it's always the Bosphorus made up of Black Pearl, Master Vintage and Antique Series, the right blend of dry, trashy and sparkling all at the same time!

Wow, that is cool! The natural finish looks great.
I am considering buying one of these once the gigs start again. I've never actually played one before, but I saw a 22" Yaiba bd at a drum shop and couldn't believe how light it was. Also, saw Kenny Washington play one when I was in NY, and it sounded amazing.

You will not be disappointed. For the money, best kit by far. Fit and finish is top notch. Tone and projection are just amazing.
