No, the cymbal wall of my local music shop didn't dimensionally time shift into my basement.

I:

A. am insane
B. have a serious aversion to cymbal storage
C. am insane
How do you get back there to play? Hop over?

I have a gantry crane and chain hoist that lowers me down from the first floor.

Actually there is a path next to the hi hats. The gap is much wider than it looks in the picture, but yeah, building a way in while ensuring that each cymbal was within reach did take a silly amount of trial and error.

I had the opportunity to play back to back today at a local festival with two different bands, changing out the snare (Tama Star Hammered Copper then to a Summit Solid Mahogany 6X14") and going from my UFIP rig to finish up with my oh so sweet Istanbul Mehmet Nostalgia's!

Was a good day! Here are my "before" shots....

Nice to see Tama Classic hi hat stands getting some use in those last two entries, Flitsy and Base.

And, oh, nice drums and cymbals as well.

Looks awesome, thanks for sharing.
Half a paper clip on fishing line?
That would freak me out, I'd have the stick tangeled up in that for sure.

It's actually a piece of brass ball chain, but you got the fishing line right. It works well for piano trio. Anything louder and it might go into orbit ;-)

I had the SCDR up, so put up some other P’s around it. A blast!

13-16-18 Tama Cherry Sups w/ matching 8x14 snare. 15” mismatched old A’s. (These never change, although I may exchange the 16 for the 15 tonight).

18” DE Crash with much metal cut out.
19” DE Crash with notch cut out.
22” SCDR
18” SC ND Short Crash

Drumming is fun!
