Was trying to post this on cymbalholic's bird's eye view thread and couldn't get it to work so thought I'd share here instead. To me there's something about a "set" of cymbals :)

I do have a "set" of Istanbul Agops, but they've never all come together in the same place at the same time. You seem considerably better organized than I am ... LOL! Nice freakin' huge hats BTW!

Here's one of my sorta bird's eye views ... though not from a "driver's seat" angle. It's from a while ago (so everything's completely changed by now), but those are my 16" hats -- a Zilco Constantinople 759g over a trans stamp 769g. Others are old Ks and a Spizz flat.

Yikes ... not easy! I came close to emptying my wallet before I found mine. And I'm not even currently using them.

Here are all the 16s I went through in every combination top <-> bottom:

K. Zildjian (Old Stamp IIa) 943g
A. Zildjian (First Stamp) 799g
A. Zildjian (Trans Stamp) 830g
A. Zildjian (Trans Stamp) 769g
Johan 994g
Zilco (“Constantinople / Made in USA”) 759g
Istanbul Agop (“Signature Crash”) 790g
Istanbul Agop (“Signature Crash”) 908g

I don't know exactly how to do the math, but I *think* that list represents 240 different possible combinations(???) Only a few *really* worked -- including the Istanbul Agops together, which Tony at CymbalsOnly picked out for me.

One concern with really thin 16s like these being used as hats is turning them inside out with a heavy foot. Depending on your chosen genre, watch out for that(!)

Sorry -- a bit off-topic.

Here's a few of mine. I don't own the Rogers and Sonor kits anymore, and most of the cymbals have been replaced as well (I think the only ones in these pictures I have left are the 15" Zildjian rock hats, 20" Oriental china, 24" 50's A, and 19" Bosphorus Antique Series ride).

Lousy shot of my 13/16/22 Premier kit and my Sonor D506 in my ratty-azz practice space. Not my usual cymbal set up, but L to R: Sabian HH 14" hats, Sabian APX 16" Ozone, Sabian 22" Artisan Medium ride, Sabian 10" AAX splash atop two brass cheapo cymbals in a DW X-hat, and a (mostly obscured) Sabian HHX 17" Effex crash.

here is a recent shot. my newly acquired ludwig clubdate combos in black lacquer 20/12/jazzfest. 1123 hihat and wfl speed king pedal. hats are late 50's 14" avedis 660/700 grams. 50's 20" avedis sizzle cymbal on the left side 1700ish grams. on the right is a 50's 24" german made roxy sizzle cymbal at around 2800 grams i think.

got a new cymbal for the left side for Christmas but havent taken a shot with it yet.

Here's my kit. I've since switched to 13" Sabian Paragon hats that I bought from Florian here on DFO.

Nice set of K's. I don't have many sets, except for my complete set of Armands.

Here's mine. There's my Fibes mint green pearl drums with Zildjian New beats, a 20" EAK crash-ride and Sabian Legacy and Evolution crashes. I want to swap the zils for more Sabians soon. Played Zildjian for years but really like the Sabians now.
