I see it very differently. Street art is very common place in NY and this is the actual art work. In an industry where anything goes, I would think the finish should come in second to the drums origin, the builder, the intent, especially the sound. Everything on those drums is heavy duty, the tension rods are beefier and larger than the norm. This drum will not de tune regardless how hard you beat it..AND they are made in the same building where the builder. works. Hoops are specially made due to the extra girth of the rods.
A high end drum for 500 bucks seems more than reasonable to me.

Have a listen at Maxwells site, you will be impressed.

Ild like to hear your thoughts on this drum?
Ugly color, and ugly "art." However there are those that would love the appearance and sound, so let them fund such creations. Speaking only for myself, I'd never buy a snare drum without seeing & hearing/playing it in person. I can't speak for the rest of the world's inhabitants.

If someone gave it to me, I'd thank them and then get rid of it, as a gift (or maybe trade it for two felt washers) ASAP. Then there would be two more happy people in the world.

I would suggest deleting your post. This type of comment is prohibited on For Sale items, and in poor taste.

? Seller asked for opinions... No need to be that sensitive.

I dont think hes being sensitive this is a for sale section and obviously you dont like it

I also have found items here for sale that I thought were ugly Or Way overpriced but I would dare not say anything since Im not the buyer that would be way out of line
Would it be possible for you to say nothing? It is rude to stand between a sales man and potential buyers

In other sections alls fair fire away

The seller asked "Ild like to hear your thoughts on this drum?"

Not a case of standing between a sales man and potential buyers imo. Cheers!

I think saying something is not worth two cymbal felts is not exactly giving a reasonable assessment of the drum

It was hardly a legitimate suggestion to assist a fellow drum member

Perhaps saying that $500 was a bit much for something that is probably for a more selective type customer might have been a better way to offer constructive criticism without using a sledgehammer

Nothing wrong with a little sensitivity. The seller wanted to hear thoughts, and your comments weren't thoughtful.
