Is this all you know all the info you have, on the drum? where was it found? Who was it sold by? where was he from.. where's the drum now. How old is that picture.. (lol

That didn't cross my mind no....

Looks like a drum made by a Piano maker around the turn of the century.... as like a sideline to their main business you know like " we gotta have a drum" to sell...
Anyone that wouldn't stamp their name or some identification somewhere on the drum probably wasn't expecting to set the world on fire.
Like a "sideline" drum to a major music importer distributor wholesaler - retailer... early 1900's.

Patina almost suggests it's from the late 60s 19 not 18
Made in Japan on it anywhere?

The indentations on the top look like snare beds, almost like it was put back together upside down?

they love a good mystery ..there some Euro spotters/collectors etc there
might be able to solve it
