Great show this year! We've got to get more brothers and sisters from the DFO in attendance next year! It really is a wonderful yearly event that I look forward to greatly. We have so many amazing DFO members and it is such a joy to put a face to the name. The show always has great exhibitors, great gear, some amazing surprises, and best of all...there is something for everyone. This year's show was no exception. I great time was had by all!

Bought a Gretsch set in black nitron (to add to many others I have in that color). Found the "bowling ball" oyster black bass drum I needed. Bought 3 of the $20 tuxedo snare bags from H&B, some cheap heads. And bought 3 sheets of ultra cool purple marine pearl from Phil for another project in the works. Bought both of Rick's updated serial number books, And had Portillo's after the show. All in all a good day...spent too much money, but then, I always do. Once a year splurge. I think I've only missed one show since they first moved to the fairgrounds back around 1995 or 6

Had a nice chat with Gary A and other DFOers too, always nice. .
I came very close to grabbing the Gretsch kit that you bought. Reasonable price on that, very tempting.

Yes, although the price went up between the opening of the show and when I finally bought them about an hour later. Initially tagged at $950 he jacked the price up when he realized that he didn't really want to sell them (or so he said anyway). I talked him back into selling them but he now wanted $995. So waiting to see the whole show before buying cost me $45. He threw in Tuxedo bags which I wasn't expecting so I think it evened out. Saves me from ordering a set of Bartons for 3-4 times $45.

Can you confirm it is " Creative Percussion" selling it? I will try to contact them if it is.

Thanks
No, it was in the booth of Bun E Carlos and Randy Rainwater.

OOPS - found out later I was wrong about the booth. Don't recall the name of the seller but it wasn't BEC & RR. I heard someone made a deal for the set at the end of the show.

I thought I had posted pics while at the show. Nothing went through! Has a blast this year! It's not just about the drums.....it's family. ✌️❤️
