here's a small video clip I put together. I just did a walk through and talked about a couple of the vendors... there were so many great things! And I'm sorry this doesn't even come close to sharing all of it.. just a tip of the ice berg

Here's a tid bit for you.
Watching some of the video walk throughs of the show on youtube last night and I see the four piece (12/16/22) black nitron Gretsch set in footage taken before I bought them early Saturday morning...except, at that point it's a five piece set. That's an interesting twist. So where did the 13 go? Who bought just the one drum (black nitron 9x13 late 70s)? How much did they pay? How much was the set as a five piece?

Inquiring minds want to know. Anyone who was in there Friday or pre-show Saturday know any details?

Doesn't really matter, I'm happy with what I got...well unless the 5 piece version was the same price as the abridged version.
I had the same thing happen. I had my eye on a 5 piece Slingerland set. When I decided to pull the trigger the set was suddenly missing the matching snare. I really wanted the whole kit so I decided not to buy it.

Yes, for me ignorance was bliss, had I known about the missing drum at the time it might have soured me on the deal. I can be funny that way.

Actually it's not so much the missing 13 that bothers me (although it would have been nice) but that in the video the two toms were on a center post mount that apparently went with the tom or to yet another person. When I saw the set the small tom was on a snare stand. I would have liked to have got that post mount, which I much prefer to a floor stand.

The bass drum has two gold Trans Am eagle stickers, one on each side, I figured on peeling them off but haven't as yet and now I'm toying with the notion of leaving them in place.

Yes, if it was a techware double tom holder I know from experience those are hard to find in good condition.

Kinda off topic, but the day before the show, I picked a bunch of cases up, for my big DW Collector's Series that is on order, at the Humes & Berg factory in East Chicago, and the owner, Mike Berg, was awesome!!!! He took me into the warehouse and gave me a tour of the place. I am still on cloud nine.

I decided to add another hardware case went I went to the show on Saturday (Pictured in an earlier post).
