I was just curious about something. I just got a Blacrolite with a small chip from the paint on the bearing edge. You can see the bare aluminum, but there's no corroding. I am assuming this isn't a big deal unless there's a dent?

Have a picture? If its just a chip, nah, no big deal. I'm sure some on here will have some advice on sealing that spot, if you're concerned about future corrosion.

Unfortunately I don't, but it's super small. Like a finger nail size, if not smaller. The aluminum underneath looks totally fine and it covered of course by the head and hoop. It sounds great, but figured I'd get some advice!

You can build it back up with black nail polish, one drop , let it harden, another drop, etc. Use some emery paper to finish it even .
