Chicago Music Exchange is offering a 13/16/22 Ludwig Vistalite kit in an exclusive Coke Bottle Green finish. I think it's a great looking kit. Has Ludwig ever offered this finish before?

Cool looking but it wasn't one of the original 70s colors. Not that that matters but it is a more recent offering.

Great looking kit but you can get the same color acrylic in a DW Design kit for less money and better hardware.

I've had a thing for Vista's most of my life. C&C was the first acrylic kit I seen in this finish, I like it! I like this finish more than some of the 50th anniversary offerings.

I think it's new for Ludwig, but other builders have been doing this finish since the acrylic drum revival began in the mid-2000's.

Looks great with that Ludwig hardware though!
Yeah, it seemed like every custom builder had this color back in 2005.

It's a "CME Exclusive."
Looks a bit lighter than the 50th Anniversay Green that the factory is offering this year...

 "Coke Bottle Green"?

I don't ever remember Coke (or Pepsi for that matter) being in green bottles.

7UP and Sprite, yes.

edit -
Ahh, this explains it.
I wasn't around in 1915. (or '57 for that matter.)
The '61 bottle is the only one I remember. (didn't drink coke in '91)

Never was into any of the colored Vistalite options but this one looks killer. Always thought C&C had something special with this.

I always thought the "coke bottle" acrylic looked cheap. I had a green vista about 20 years ago and it's such a vibrant color, kinda ruined me only any other color of acrylics.

Coke bottle green is definetly my favorite color for an acrylic kit. C&C did a coke bottle green kit with an abalone inlay on it. Beautiful kit:

That’s my favorite acrylic drums color too, followed closely by light blue.

Maybe. Revival Drum Shop in Portland does some unique kits in conjunction w/Ludwig at affordable prices, including for these 'desirable sizes' configuration. I think the price has gone up a bit since last time I looked, but what hasn't in the past 2 years?
