Play the drums.
Talk about cool things discovered and learned.
Show us some neato pics of your gear.
There‘s my comfort level.

As for the rest of it … Stop getting the vapors over some guy that hits the drums.
It is really creepy.

Phil Collins and Dave grohl are probably the most talented drummers alive (let’s add ringo). Now I don’t think this, but the masses do. Tommy Lee, him too. The masses don’t know who Steve Smith or Gadd, or Simon or vinnie is. Now me being a drummer, I do have a cult thing for Neil and Gavin.

To be fair, I’ve never seen anyone play better than Tommy Lee upside down so hes got versatility

John Bonham. Possible reaction: "I love him, but for crying out loud, there's so many drummers who haven't been dead for 40 years."
True, and each and every one of them owes a debt of gratitude to Bonham.

Yamaha and Sonor owners are very cult like. I feel like DW used to be kind of cult like, but now that collector series drums have been in the market for 20+ years, people have realized they are just another brand.

Remember 2006-2009 - Travis Barker and Joey Jordison?

For tiny subcultures, I'm in the pearl fiberglass subculture.

Verged on zombie grade adherence to the Ludwig cult for many years, now torn between Ludwig and Gretsch. Eh, could be worse...I could be a Bieber Believer!

Justin Bieber’s cult. I had to have an intervention with my daughter!
Ah. Teen Beat kinda stuff. Little girls digging on David Cassidy.
Glad my kid never went down that road.
Though, he did go through a period with the TMNT.
But I got to play with the toys, too ... so no harm no foul.
