He's been using variations of this set up for the past 20+ years. I think it's amazing and fits the entire stage them of ZZ Top.

It wouldn't be ZZ Top if he used a stripped down kit. Trigger or not, the man can drum very well. He puts out a mean shuffle and makes it look effortless. Us Texans are very proud of Frank and company.

Anyone have any insight on the diameter and depth of this drum? It looks like a 12" diameter x 24" depth, but some pictures of some kits look like it's a 10" tom??? I know that they are all triggered sounds, but damn if those kits aren't interesting in a day when everyone else just plays a standard one up, one down configuration.
