Any tips of removing the bar code stickers off the back of Zildjian cymbals other than goo gone and cymbal polish?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Well damn. That is far more simple than goo gone and polish. Lollol.how about a hot rag
Yeah that JDA, trying to tempt the guy into ruining the temper of his cymbals by heating them up.i would use room temperature water and Dawn dishwashing soap (I use the blue one) and, with this mixture, soak a rag and let it sit on the barcode; it becomes soggy and I use a hard plastic scraper to take it off once soggy and loose..
Be sure to use a Blue rag, if you can find one,Yeah that JDA, trying to tempt the guy into ruining the temper of his cymbals by heating them up.
Happy now?whoa. Use a Blue rag,
You are absolutely correct. And to make matters worse, paper based instead of a rubber sticker that is easier to remove.Wd40, goo gone, mineral spirits, isopropyl alcohol. Stickers on cymbals are a abomination.
Soak the sticker in Ronson. Ignite the sticker with the heat gun! I think JDA should try this on some of his symbols and see if it works. All others do not try this at home!Heat gun, couple of quick pass's, finger nail peal that puppy off. Got sticky residue, blue rag with a couple of drops of Ronson lighter fluid (naptha).
Ya'll are too much.
Next thread will be "does it change the sound when you remove the sticker".

I think it should increase resale value to remove them. Extra cost of labor LOL....or the resale value.
