If I like the way it sounds, I leave it on. The Bosphorus I got 2nd hand from Tommy's still has the green, handwritten price tag affixed with Scotch tape.

I quit buying new cymbals because of those labels. Really is there a tape that works as good for when you really want something to stick? I've tried gorilla tape and it's easier to remove (especially when you don't want it to come off) than these stickers. I think best bet is not to buy new cymbals until they quit using the stickers.

Paiste, Sabian, Istanbul Agop and UFIP don´t use stickers, at least over here.
Meinl, Zildjian and Istanbul Mehmet do.

I think only one guy on this forum went with my mayonnaise trick and it worked for him, sticky stuff on a floor tom or something.

I'm telling ya, mayo works great on sticky and mild soap and water cleans off the oily stuff.

I pick pine nuts now and then during the season and that pine tar is brutal. On hands, containers. Mayo blasts it away and it's mild.

Go ahead and use your napalm or hack saw remedy but the easy fix is right here.

I honestly have no idea what any of you are talking about — I've bought exactly a dozen brand-new Zildjian cymbals since 2015 and have been able to cleanly remove the barcode sticker from each one using only my fingers. If you work slowly and pull the sticker up perpendicular from the bronze it should come off without leaving any residue, and if it does you can roll any leftover stickum off with your fingers. Ain't no big deal, sheesh.

Any tips of removing the bar code stickers off the back of Zildjian cymbals other than goo gone and cymbal polish?

Thanks.
Plastic scraper + acetone.

or

Gaff or duct tape + heat gun. Heat the residue and dab the tape. The tape will tack off the hot residue
