Differentiate pad/rim Roland TD9

Hi,
I have a Roland TD9 and want to have a tom sound on my tom 3 and a cowbell ono the rim, is that possible and how?

Should be - it's possible with the older TD7. There might be a setting that pairs the middle and rim sounds together into a group (like tom + rim) that you need to change. One you do that they should act as two diff trigger ins.

Depends on the pads that you're using. You need to be using a dual trigger pad and a stereo (TRS) cable.
