DIY Pancake Snare

I built this "pancake" snare from some leftover parts I had lying around and it turned out to be a successful project. I made this video where I captured most of the building process and included some sound demos. Let me know what you all think.

I might have added a little EQ and Vulf Compressor to the initial clip, but the actual demo section of the video should just be some light EQ. It's a fun snare for sure.

Agreed, that sounds great! I really dig that sound... and the hats as well by the way, those are beautifully crisp!

That's great! It's going into my project queue, which means I need you to make sure that video stays up for at least 10 years since that's about how long it will take me to get around to it.

Great job! I have one of those little snare mechanisms. I liked the high tuning with snares on bottom the best....
