Do you use alternate sticking when you can’t quite do what was originally done.

Just saw this video of Tom Jones’ singing “It’s Not Unusual” on Sullivan. Beastly tempo and you can see the drummer working his tail off in the background. But, nothing compares to TJ’s beastly dance moves!

PS: Anyone know who the drummer is?
