Hey everyone,
I'm totally new here but I thought I would share with you this series of drum pad "work outs" that I started uploading on YouTube.
I strive to make pad practice exciting, so I'm using a bunch of hybrid rudiments or different concepts to make it challenging but also rewarding from a growth standpoint.
I would love to get some feedback from actual drummers, so this feels like the best place to share.
The first three are of intermediate/advanced level, but I will share simpler practices of mine in the future as well.
Let me know your thoughts!

Drum Pad Work Out #3: Palindrome 151

Drum Pad Work Out #2: The Ettelemo

Drum Pad Work Out #1: The Omelette

I will gladly share charts or answer any questions you might have!
Cheers!

Hey Joe, thanks so much for checking it out! I really appreciate it!
The Egg Beater (RRRLL - LLLRR) and Deviled Eggs (RRRLLRR - LLLRRLL) are definitely usable on the drum kit.
I'll see if I can record a quick video to show how I would apply it for a playing situation!

I have actually never had the chance to be in a marching band either, I found these two rudiments randomly on Dan Weiss' instagram.
He's an amazing drummer from New York City. Here's his instagram. https://www.instagram.com/danwdrums/

DeJohnette is definitely hip to those I'm sure, and so is Chaffe, most likely!!

Thanks again!

..as a solo!.... as a solo, musically voiced, 'drum interlude'... you already got the notes..just "voice it' around the set!! Thank You!
It's going to be fantastic (cool)

ps; I went back in my Chaffee books and found no.....no 7 sticking, variation, that started with three (same hand) singles..

RRRLLRR LLLRRLL

Guys, still haven't had time to sit down and record solo ideas including Deviled Eggs with full drum set (aaah the apartment life)
Fortunately, I was able to put out two new pad videos, one including my great friend and amazing drummer Yogev Gabay.
Check those out and let me know your thoughts!!
