Nice photos Mr. Sparkle! Are you a pro photographer? Also, How do you like that Catalina snare? Those deep one's with the diecast hoops seemed like a good deal.

Nice additions Rogers O, especially that WRR set with the dynasonic!

I got this set last year it is a Gretsch 3 ply Bop set (13-16-20) in Peacock sparkle. The drums are 3 ply with clear interiors. The toms are stamped Feb & Nov 1951.

This is what I traded to get that set (plus some cash) a Camco Oaklawn Aristorat (Casino?) set in Burgundy sparkle.

Thanks MikeJ. I have since scored a 20" instead of the 22 shown on the WRR. Well I also scored my first Gretsch kit. Im currently working on the 20" bass and will swap it out too for the 22 shown.. Why they ordered a 22 to go with a 12/14fl/and Max Roach snare is beyond me. Nice Peacock!!

Hi Crud, yes I am a photographer actually.

I love the Catalina Snare, it was from the short run they did in "faded silver sparkle" so it matched my 42 year old Ludwigs PERFECTLY. Snare has a wide range of tones and voices and is very responsive.
I snagged it for $99 and it is worth every penny! 13x7 iirc, maybe 7.5.
I've currently got a Supra as my main snare, but the 'Cat is next to my hats for an accent drum.

I have the 14" red clone FT from my bean set. It has flat gray paint. I have a red Cleveland Powertone snare and had bought the red 12" Dayton, flat gray, tom from Dustys' stuff. Karen bought this nice 20" Cleveland bass last year. It came with the two tilter cymbal arm also. I put an Emperor on the bottom of the FT. The set sounds super. Best snare drum I own. Dynamicx wires. Ace
P.S. I got that Tama seat cushion with my used Big R set back in 1981. It had been in a closet for 25 years. Found the stand on E-bay for $20.00. about 5 years ago. Hey I didn't know that you can click the pic once, then put the cursor on a certain area and click again for a super close up of that?
