Always partial to the Emerald Green...bought when I was 15...I turned 64 on Sunday. I think the drums have aged better than me. IMG00721.jpg

I'm really liking those colors, nice. How does that ambassador sound on the BD? I need to store away the original heads on the Rogers I just bought, what do you like on a 20"?

Originally Rogers issued 2 plys of 7.5 mils on both the tops and bottoms. I think the original weather kings are like todays Remos "vintage Emperors" and not the standard Emperors of 7 mils. The only thing I do thats different is the bottoms. I usually use a single ply 10 mil clears. I do like the Aquarian II with that 1" tone ring that has the lil felt on it near the edge on the bass. Its just easier to get it to the sound I like quicker..

Aquarian 2 sounds like a good game plan. Got a e-mad sitting here in the box but I think it's the wrong sound for that drum, that was bought for my 20" Starclasics. Aquarian it is.
