Studied from Joe Francos double bass book. Like a flip chart that you could mix exercises with.

Not enough credit in no particular order

Bobby Rondinelli
Ian Mosley - Marrillion
Doane Perry ex Jethro Tull
Jimmy Keegan - ex Spocks Beard
Nick D'virgillio
Mark Zonder - ex Fates Warning
Bobby Jarzombek
Scott Phillips - Alter Bridge
Matt Thompson - King Diamond
Micky Dee

Just off the top of my head

Love his feel and how he makes the song sound great. You don,t recognize him like Cobham or Gadd as they play there style and you always know what's coming. I've seen him play with Gino V, Santana, and others. One of my favorites of all time.
Preachin' to the choir... I've always loved his drumming. Graham won me over on those Santana albums...he found a way to combine disco and fusion into one style!

A couple guys I've always liked but not many are familiar with are Brian Viglione from The Dresden Dolls and Jeffrey Clemens from G. Love.
On the jazz side most people have heard of Specs Wright but don't give him a very high spot since his discography is short. Heroin and all that.

I will add Andy Parker of UFO to the list,I especially liked his playing on the live album.Overlooked partly because of Micheal Shenker being in the band IMO.

And a 2nd to Phil Ehart and Richie Hayward, I saw both of those names already.

There are literally thousands, I'm sure many of them on this board that I don't even know about.
