They're cool, but I'd probably play sampled octoban if I wanted that sound. It would be cheaper and wouldn't take up space (no more than a trigger pad).

They look cool though and it would be cool if they made a comeback. Let me say "cool" one more time. Cool.

Some guys put a trigger inside an octoban so that it’s easier to get a good sound from.
