Bought a DW black nickel over brass a while back for cheap and decided to see what it would sound like if a added a DW Trusonic snare carriage.

Bought a DW black nickel over brass a while back for cheap and decided to see what it would sound like if a added a DW Trusonic snare carriage.

Pretty drum. But, that’s the kind of snare sound/tuning I try to avoid, and am generally successful at doing, by tightening the reso head tighter than the batter head and keeping the snare wires just tight enough to prevent rattling, no tighter. YMMV.
