Looks like the extra snare, cymbals, and hardware are worth around the asking price. Drums FREE.
Agreed. That's why I questioned if it was legit and I believe it is. I made contact with the owner about selling the Yamaha snare. Doesn't want to sell it separate from the rest. Still looking for someone to pick it up and bring it to me...

70s-80s generic Pearl style lugs and metal bass hoops make it more likely that they are low end and not a hidden gem.
I had the same thought about the hoops. I'm just so poorly versed in vintage Pearl/MIJ that I thought there could be a chance for some cool drums!

I bet this has some serious vintage tone that would be hard to get for the price, otherwise.
Im not advertising for that shop, just seems like a lot of character for a decent price.

I was interested in these, no reply.
Maybe someone else want's to give it a try.
Not news to anyone, but CL emails very often go to spam. Up to you how long to try, but I've found 3 attempts spaces across a week often gets a "Sorry, your inquiry went to Spam" reply. If you're not also slightly changing the automatic subject line of an email form as CL hands it to you, try that as well. I'm guessing a 'symbol' person may not use CL too often and may not know to check Spam folder.

I routinely put in my for sale CL postings a note to check Spam folder if you've not heard back from me.

That said, you could just have someone who does not reply!

Wow! If I wasn't already up to my neck in drums (including a fine cocktail kit) I'd be all over this one.

"Slingerland Cocktail Drum 1960’s Very rare Capri Pearl 14 x 23 with snares/brass hardware - $650" on my local Craigslist here in the DC area. It's going to be available at a garage sale this weekend, along with some calfskin heads and a few other items...

Crazy that these exist.

No one commented on these at all, so I'm thinking there is nothing special about these? I'm not a vintage Ludwig guy but these seem like a good start to collecting some. PLEASE weigh in on what these are actually worth so I can take a run at them. Thanks.

They *are* special, but they are priced very high, even for NOS burgundy sparkle. Thus the crickets.

If they were a single mounted tom set up they might have sold near that price. But a double tom set is not as desirable to most. That particularly double tom post is not the most effective either.
Bottom line is that you can't really play them as is. Maybe with the original batter heads removed and 'saved.' 3 piece kit + Jazz Fest.....looking like that.....probably could have sold for $3000.

They are rare and collectable at the moment being NOS.

That goes away the moment you play them.

Not the Bop kit I'm holding out for.
