There is a Pearl chrome over brass on goodwill auction site. Closes in 8 hours. is only at 102 dollars and has
1 cent shipping so its a steal for a great sounding drum. last ones I saw sold on reverb were both in the 225 to 250 range.

Vermont, local pickup only

This 1968-1969 Gretsch RB black nitron kit just sold (12,12,16,20 + Ludwig Supra). Was trying to get better (bigger) photos and more info from the seller over the
past 24 hrs but with no luck. The drum kit sold earlier today. I wonder if Rich K. grabbed this kit?

It doesn't make sense to me to sell a kit for local pick up only via Reverb or EBay. Only the locals can respond yet you pay the 8-13% commissions/fees despite a very reduced audience.

lugs and crimped snare beds. I suspect it was a Super Ludwig COB. So the new owner got a nice bonus if that was the case. I wonder if Rich K. grabbed this kit?

Saw that too late. You have to be super fast up here with all the drum weasels that are in New England.

There is a really nice rewrapped Green Sparkle (by Precision Drum) SLINGERLAND 1960s set with a Virgin bass drum. 12/16/20. Asking $1,000 obo.

The seller messaged me the following description..
All parts, edges and mounts are original except the professionally installed green sparkle wrap done by Precision Drum Company.

Heads are upgraded as well.

Anyway here is the link, they are located in Troy, NY. I think.

Those look super nice. But I have to wonder if he will get that much for them. Even original finish Slingerlands don't seem to often bring that much for 3 drums, especially without a 14 floor.

I too wonder, but I bet the rewrap was in the ~$500 range.

He needs the right buyer that is into green sparkle.

Don't really understand the reason Slingerland drums don't get the respect or $ that Rogers & Gretsch & even Ludwig drums from the same era (1960s) do but I guess that is good for the Slingerland drummers and collectors! It doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get a nice vintage Slingerland set. Personally I'm looking for a nice original Green Glass (Sparkle) set or Fiesta set without "issues", don't know if I'll find one but it is fun to be on the prowl!

I’m not a Gretsch guy, but this drum sounds fantastic and I believe it’s a great deal.

In stock at Dale’s Drum Shop, I tapped on it earlier today. 8x14 Gretsch in some kind of natural finish. Not sure of age because I don’t know the badge years too well. This drum had taken a fall and was damaged on the bottom bearing edge, so the shop sent it out to Jack Lawton for repair and he did a great job. You can see the repair on the edge if you look for it, but can’t see from the side. If you took the head off, you’d see a small piece of veneer that was replaced by Lawton (he found a piece to match from another vintage shell).

Dale’s wants $300 for the drum — call and talk to Rej and tell him Jeremy sent you!

I have a 14x8 new Gretsch Broadkaster, fantastic drum.
How many lugs on this one?
