Here is why I did not see the Yamaha hardware packs, they are under the "Accessories" section of the Yamaha sale and not with the drums?!? I would encourage you to NOT buy the FP9 pedal as I have two I am trying to sell here in the Marketplace :p But seriously, $299.99 for the FP9C new is a great price. Doesn't help me but if you want a new one this is a great price. Full transparency.

I may have to consider one. Been looking to get a bop kit for lugging around to jam with friends, etc. Color choices are a bit limited. Can anyone attest to how the natural or Ravel Black look in person?

---------------

"Yes - and those hardware packs are a good deal also!"

Wait, are there hardware packs I'm not seeing included in this sale or do you mean something else? (Sorry I do not know how to multi-quote)
Here is the natural. The inside of the kick hoops are unfinished so I thought natural blended the best.

I am debating selling my MIJ Tama Starclassic Performers and having this Yamaha bop kit be my beat-up/lug around for jam sessions kit. I like the smaller sizes and aesthetically I like this finish better than my SCP. Having three kits around sounds like overkill (especially when the drum sizes of my Starclassic kit are pretty close to my Starclassic Performers) and I'm sure my GF would not appreciate it.

The bop sizes are really nice for portability! It is so nice that this kit fits easily in an compact sedan. And I’ve been very happy with their sound. I initially just got them for rehearsals, but as the above gig is a smaller place and low volume, I use the Stage Customs there as well.
Very happy with a coated SK1 on the kick. I did put 2.3mm hoops on the toms. Not required, but it helps them hold their tuning from month to month

The Yamaha downtube for the tom arm is 3/4" I think, or is it 7/8 ... 7/8" I'm pretty sure? Either way, if you want to mount the tom to a cymbal stand rather than use the bass drum mount you just need a clamp that basically all vendors make ... Tama, Yamaha, Pearl are all basically the same.

The tom arm looks like this (and like @lossforgain said should be included with your kit):

Yup, 7/8". Same as Pearl tom arms.

Some of these same Yamaha deals are also available at Sweetwater, if you prefer them to GC. The Bop kit looked to still be $549 but talk to a "sales engineer" and they may get you the GC price. I have purchased from both vendors but prefer Sweetwater.

Just checked SW this afternoon. Price of the SC bop kits just dropped $50. Now $499. Looks like Musicians Friend and Guitar Center also have them marked down as well.

Slingerland Tour Series Studio King set in (shrunken) WMP for $800 + 75 ship
20/12/14

RUN DON’T WALK, I can’t believe this price and would buy them myself but I already have a Nashville set in these sizes.

PARTY TIME! I’m psyched for you. If the shrinking wrap bothers you, these would look great in some sparkle, or whatever color choice floats your boat.
Thanks for the heads up. We will see what they look like when they get here, but I was thinking a sparkle re-wrap might be in order. I know these aren't as well regarded as the Nashvilles, but I don't have Nashville money either. lol

I have a 12 14 20 Conway kit in black satin, with matching snare. You will be very pleased. Other than the well-known wrap issues, these Gibson-era drums are extremely well-made and a real value in USA drums.

There seem to be some amazing deals popping up right now. Here is a Tama Starclassic Bubinga Exotic 10/12/16/22 for $2000!
Pickup only in South Carolina. Who’s local?

That's a gorgeous kit. That's what I paid for my SC Exotix Maple - not sure where Bubinga falls in the price hierarchy, but I have to imagine this is a great used price.

Here’s a decent start for a modern bop kit. Had no idea that Gretsch standard BD lugs fit the New Classic drillings. If I didn’t already have one I’d jump on this even with all the missing parts and slight fix to the batter edge. $99 !
