This popped on my local CL yesterday afternoon for $75. Messaged the seller that I'd pay them $125 (to increase the odds I might get it). And it felt "wrong" to buy the drum for only $75. Well, that worked. Picked it up this morning from the original and only owner.....a nice plus. Still had the original Tama drum heads which are in very good shape. It spent a lot of time in a case the past couple of decades. The chrome is excellent other than for a few minor missing "speckles" on the main shell. None of that nasty heavy pitting so often seen on the die cast hoops and snare sliders. 1985 "T" badge 6.5x14. My first King Beat ever. The super sensitive mechanism wasn't turning properly.....but, tightening the linkage allen screws fixed that. Still tweaking the wire settings for the best tone.

Recover with lots of extra holes. 3 drums for over a grand? Seems like a bad deal to me.

Some type of Taye? Is that at Hawthorne's?
Oh it's at Waddell's. Where is he ..out in Cranberry. Man I haven't seen Gary in 15 years.
bottom hoop is from a Slingerland or something..
I used to visit once every two weeks when he started in his Mom's laundry room (selling Cymbals) to his store in Leechburg. He was an Istanbul Cymbal dealer from the start and others. Bought a few sets and many Cymbals in the 90s from him.
