This is a modern setis this one original vintage or a modern custom set?
well, c'mon USA vintage drums expert... try to answer to the original question![]()
Gretsch never pictured a cataloged 16" set back then; for an endorser -like Art or Elvin- sure they'd do anything;right, if I remember well it was basically a "floor tom" set with a snare? no toms at all? an inverted cocktail set
Slingerland had a 16"
63 catalog
don't know about Shaugnessy, will checkGretsch never pictured a cataloged 16" set back then; for an endorser -like Art or Elvin- sure they'd do anything;
Gretsch did after all, cater to the Club drummers,
Slingerland, Rogers, Ludwig same. If Roy Burns wanted a 16"..just had to ask.
Pretty sure Ed Shaugnessy has a Slingerland 16" in like 1959.
Ed Blackwell a HiPercussion 16" from Italy, back.. then
If the Gretsch was non-catalog
the tag likely was marked "Special" model.
what ? Ed Blackwell was born 1929.sure Ed Blackwell had not a 16 HiPercussion (born in '77-78) 16 as bd
