Fender American Deluxe P bass

I know there are several other bassists here, so I’m listing here before I go to Reverb. This deal is less than I’ll sell for there.

1997 Fender American Deluxe Precision bass
- 4 string model
- Transparent white finish
- Birdseye Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard
- P and humbucker pickups with factory preamp and EQ
- Original hardshell case

Bass and case are in excellent condition, the bass has a two nicked areas on the back of the neck (pictured) and small nick at the end of the headstock. No nicks or dings in the body, just a minor surface scratch (may buff out but I didn’t want to do it). The bass could use a setup, but the neck is straight.

Are you sure you want to sell that beast? I love modified Fender P basses with bridge pickups! Having a humbucker in addition to the P pickup is AWESOME! It reminds me of Berry Oakley! That is really cool. It looks like you got that thing modified exactly the way you wanted it. I think you might regret selling this one! I never sell basses any more...I don't know what it is, but in the past, I always regretted selling it much more than selling a drum. My youngest daughter is one heck of a bassist, so she just gets all of my basses. I never sell them...neither should you!

Thanks Rob, but this is actually the factory configuration for these early (first run) American Deluxe models. It does sound great, honestly I’m not playing it because I don’t want to fall in love. It came to me in a trade recently and I’m happy with my Mexican Standard — which HAS been modified to fit me.

Wow! I haven't ever seen one with a humbucker. Where have I been? Anyway, I just love that thing. You should keep her and get rid of the other "girlfriend."
