Hey guys,

I currently have a project I’m needing advice on. I had an old Tama Superstar kit lying around and got a Roland TD-17 KVX at a steal over Black Friday.

I bought some Evans mesh heads as well. My question is, is it possible to strip components from the TD-17 KVX and fit them to the Tama kit?

If so, does anyone have advice or a guide to share?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I suppose you could? Why not enter 2020 and just use the pads? Not like it's 1958 any more.

You can definitely do it but I agree with Electrodrummer. Just use pads. I did all that...converted my old Imperialstars to edrums using first ddrum3 pad guts then just built my own trigger guts to use. Not much too it but very time consuming. If I really wanted to go that route again... Jobeky.
