Guess nobody cares. I thought it was curious. On the shell mount, mini tube lugs. Maybe solid shells to go with the snare line up.

Looks like the mini tubes that Pearl has been using recently. Wish they'd have been a little more creative than that.

Murat, please tell them the Star series could benefit (in my opinion) from an option for a tom holder on the bass drum.

Tama drums are ridiculously good. I have no idea about all of their hype and expensive drums, but I'm sure they're great. My gigging set is a Silverstar, and they sound fantastic.

They are probably expensive, so you will like them. :)

Those are the same lugs, just shorter, that Tama has been using on some of their their SLP series snare drums for quite a while now.

The Star Series shells are much too thin for that. Im certain Tama feels structurally it would compromise the drums.

Have you talked to Russ Miller? Something amazing happening at Mapex too!

After a decade or more of various incarnations of tom isolation systems, are we now entering a new era where we'll once again be seeing more shell-mounted tom brackets?

The Star series drums are pretty darn nice. Personally, I'd love to pick up one of the Stewart Copeland sig snares one of these days.
