Here is the 12x7 Jarrah Block with an old Evans, ambassador type of head.

It really sounds so much bigger, even the rim clicks, yet I have all the advantages of a smaller size drum regarding transport and placement.
- Try a G 12 on it.

This has been my go-to for over a decade.

Made by Paul Warry at Metro Drums.

Jarrah stave, 14x6.5”, 30 deg edges, high gloss finish, Trick strainer.

I got it with both jarrah segment hoops and standard triple flange.

Currently set up with the triple flange hoops, CS dot head over Amb hazy and Puresound 20 custom wires. One piece of gaffer to take the edge off the ring. I’m hitting a lot of rimshots in a rock context so that setup is perfect, when I was playing some more blues/songwriter stuff it gets the jarrah hoops and a plain old coated amb.
