Hey guys I finally located one of these crashes I had been curious about. This is the long discontinued 18" Zildjian Azuka Timbale Cymbal.

Probably the thinnest 18" Zildjian I've ever played. Very interesting hammer pattern that I haven't seen as well on a Zildjian crash. I'm undecided on if I am gonna keep it. I'm assuming it was meant to be able to be used with hand crashes as thin as it is. It has a medium tone to it. Gonna play with it some more and see.

The cymbal I was looking for before this one was the 18" Azuka Timbale Crash. It doesn't have this hammering. I have heard it was just an 18" A thin crash with the red lettering. Very interesting. I asked Paul Francis about them both so well see what info he has. First is my cymbal, and the 2nd is the other Azuka.

Not my thing, but it really sounds great. Would go perfect with a percussion setup.

So not a big fan of it in person, but it sounds great recorded! Looks like for now I'll be keeping it

So this one ended up getting sold, but I've been curious about the one other one I posted above without the hammer marks.

I know there's that brilliant model, and a traditional one as well. Someone said the brilliant is just an 18" A brilliant thin crash, and the traditional is an 18" K Thin,v both with the red lettering added.

I wonder if this is true? The azuka and the As design do look extremely similar?
