Yesterday I got a call from a friend who's an elementary school teacher. The school was getting rid of some gear & he asked of i would be home in the evening. Later he showed up at my door with a Slingerland COW kick, a bunch of hardware, mostly Hercules, and this LM402! It's like life is graciously reminding me to be grateful.

PS: This same friend is the guy who gifted me a 1969 midnight blue Hayman Vibrasonic snare last year

+ something about those particular? lugs looks great..

Is there some difference or haven't I looked at a 402 often..
Look like the scalloped edges are larger (or are they all? the same..
Stunning

I went back down in the basement and looked & they seem to be identical to the ones on my '64 LM 410 Supersensitive. I do think imperial lugs are a thing of beauty! I missed an occasion to buy a "blackrolite" w/ imperial lugs recently and was a little disappointed, but this gift cured my GAS for a while.
