Gretsch question

Does anyone know if Gretsch offered a 20 x 12 bass drum during the 60's and 70's?

I don't see any 12" deep models listed in the catalogs...not to say they wouldn't have made one if someone requested that size.

The six ply shells were made in long tubes and cut down to the required depths so a 12" deep bass drum would not have required anything more than cutting a shell 2" shorter than normal. I'd be surprised if they didn't make at least a few due to special requests.

I'll second K.O. on that. I have every catalog from 1939 through the early 80's (well, I think I have every one except a 1941 I saw onece :icon_smile: ) and I've never seen a 12" BD listed. That's not to say there aren't some out there though....
