Hi, since it is almost impossible to get orphan Gretsch USA shells in Red Rosewood Finish, I considered either to change my complete setup or add shells from other series in the same finish.

These are hard to find, but I've come across several Renwon Kits in Cherry Red Gloss (unfortunately not my sizes: I'm looking for a 18 BD and a 14x14 FT).

Do you know the period and the konfigs in which these drums were built in Cherry Red Gloss (not satin) or whether you can also buy them new?

Thanks in advance.

Best

Wished I could help you but just a reminder, if you ever find and 18" floor tom in Cherry Red it would be easy to convert it to a bass drum.

I'm selling a Renown Rosewood kit 12/13/16/22/14x5.5 that might fit in if you can't find any USA's. It's a prototype around yr 2000, with square pewter badges that look just like USA's without the USA markings in the middle and sounds great.
