Hello:
Is there a particular brand of grosgrain ribbon that you folks use for snare drums? I'm new to this idea and wasn't sure if "grosgrain" was a brand name or just a type of material. It appears that it's not a brand name so I'm wondering if there's any brand recommended. Thank you!

never used it till I bought a Catalina Club kit....ordered a roll on Amazon for a couple bucks, world of difference v. the plastic stuff....that dreaded CC Club snare is now in use (with some puresound wires)....total expense ~ $18....

LOL, thank you all.

White for a brighter sound
Black for a darker sound
Purple if you're in a Prince cover band
Silver or gold if you're in a metal band
