Thanks for the welcome. I'm an old fart, been playing drums since I was 12 or so. These days I pretty much play only jazz, and quiet "restaurant jazz" at that. Standards and singers, that sort of thing - pretty tame!

I use Gretsch drums (18 - 12 - 14 or 16 - 10 - 14 depending on venue or whim), with Istanbul Agop or Bosphorus Masters rides. Here's the 16 bass drum kit - with my late lamented 22" Bettis ride, stolen after a gig in Tucson:

I love to make and modify parts for my kits; fairly handy with the lathe and milling machine. Same goes for my other passions, bicycling and motorcycling.
