I have came across a full set of Ludwigs for sale, asking price $400. Trying to find out what year they was made. The bass drum has four legs, and the badge has Monroe NC stamped on it. The drums are in close to mint condition . The serial # starts with 32. Thanks.

Pictures would help.
Made after 1984 , the move to Monroe was at that time.
$400 for close to mint full set of Ludwigs ... Grab them.
Classic Maple most likely unless Silver badge would be Birch.

I think with the badge number might be early 90's. Will either be a thick 6 ply shell (around 1/2" thick) or 4 ply shell (around 1/4"thick) both sound great, obviously the 4 ply are lighter to lug around. For $400 I'd be driving instead of typing :)

Ludwig 1988 catalog

4 legs and 10 lugs on the kick - classic or super classic seems right. Supra-phonic snares often came with these kits. A Rocker would probably only have 8 lugs and 2 legs. Heavy modular style hardware in this era.

Just checked my 1993's serials start 33 so the ones you are looking at I'd assume are a year or so older.
