I watched a PG show last year , there wasn’t a drum set on stage one person had a snare the other a bass drum etc .

It wasn’t a typical concert set up at all .
The entire band was wireless and walked through the crowd playing the last song it ended with Peter getting on a bicycle and riding off down the street by the theatre …

It was very theatrical…
I seem to remember it was discussed in here somewhere …

I can’t find it anywhere!!!

Here´s Peter on a bicycle anyway:

This has always been a favorite snap for me.

Pete gets around.

I saw David Byrne in 2018. It was an absolutely amazing show!

I’ve seen plenty of great concerts, but that was something completely different than the rest

David Byrne answers the question nobody asked. ‘What if we eliminate all the stuff on stage but the things we care about…wires….cables…. ‘
As soon as the scene shows the band carrying bare essentials I had completely lost interest.
I guess it instantly taught me that I have a definite affinity for all that crap on stage.

For having “ bare essentials “ they sure sounded phenomenal….

I was completely impressed .

OK...back to PG for a second. WHen I saw him for the first time (80s) he started his concert with the entire band marching in from the rear of the theatre to the stage, to a recorded drone...and playing his song "Rhythm of the Heat"....perhaps that's what they ended with....and then Peter left?

His shows had a great theatricalness to them...it was more than a concert...it was a show.
