Anyone has any idea how to unlock/loosen this thing? Or am I missing a part? This black plastic that holds the seat height is very tight and wouldnt screw down. I wonder if this is supposed to be like this way, or any solution to unscrew this? I put wd40 but no luck. Havent tried using wrenches yet. Is this thing even screw anyways?

Did you loosen the wing nut below first?

Based on your picture and some online pictures of the throne, my guess is that the black piece has been turned too far up on the post and is jammed because it is turned past the point where the threads stop on the top of the post. Try turning the black piece clockwise (to bring it down on the post). It may take some force depending on how badly it is jammed, but you shouldn't need wrenches. Plus the WD40 should help.

It should thread back down, it’s up too far.
