The spring loaded mounts on my floor tom are failing. any recommendations? I am NOT a builder/fix it guy. I see some mounts that are the bracket and springs only for sale. Could I just swap out the springs? Any help is appreciated or if you have functioning mounts for sale you can pm me. Thanks so much!

what I did was thread the length of leg in question with a loose fitting die . The factory knurling was vertical , the horizontal threading I created held pretty well . Electrical plastic ties at height points on the legs will also discourage slippage . Those spring loaded housings are becoming more valuable and if you replace them, you may depreciate the value of the drum . Especially if it has the original script logo .

I had those brackets on my Club Dates. I swapped them out for Inde brackets and haven’t looked back.

The INDe brackets have adjustable spacing and come in two sizes which encompass everything from 1" to 3.2". Plus, their "suspension" design gives some isolation to your drum, even in a legged floor tom config.
You can always save your spring clip stockers and put 'em back on if you ever sell your kit. Those things were simple, convenient, and ...... prone to slipping .......

I love these mounts. The trick for me is to not remove the legs when I bring the drum to a gig!
